What Is the Berrien County Cancer Service Bike Ride?

The Berrien County Cancer Service Bike Ride is one of the major fund raisers for the Berrien County Cancer Service. All proceeds from this year's bike ride will benefit the Berrien County Cancer Service, Inc. The Cancer Service provides free medical care for residents of Berrien County who have a cancer diagnosis. Your registration fee and/or contribution will help us continue our work on behalf of cancer patients and their families.

About the 2010 Berrien County Cancer Service Bike Ride:

We are featuring our 100K "Head for the Hills." The route will take you south of Buchanan, over several hills and showcase some of the most picturesque roads in Berrien County as you bike on a lightly-traveled, scenic, winding course.

The 42-mile route will follow the 100K route, but will miss some of the bigger hills and the southernmost section of the 100K route.

The 25 and 15 mile routes are designed for family riders and will be on relatively flat terrain. You will ride up at least one hill so you can proudly wear your "Head for the Hills." T-shirt.

Our goal is to have all routes Safe-Scenic-Smooth. We're confident you'll find your route so nice that you'll want to ride it twice!

Pledges:

Consider taking pledges to sponsor your participation in the 2010 Berrien County Cancer Service Bike Ride. If you collect $100 or more in pledge sponsorship, you can waive the fee for riding this year's ride. If you collect $200 or more in pledge sponsorship, you can waive the fee for riding next year's ride and receive a free 2010 T-shirt.

Use the form on the registration form to keep a record of the pledges your receive. Then bring the form, any checks and cash with you on the day of the ride. Please make a copy ahead of time, if needed.

If you collected enough pledges to earn a free T-shirt, ($200 or more), please call our office two weeks prior to the ride to pre-order your shirt.

Pledge Incentive:
Anyone bringing in pledges or donations totaling $300 or more will be offered a free sailboat ride on beautiful Lake Michigan during the month of July.

When and Where:
