Art Play Workshops
September 11 is at the Buchanan Art Center and September 14 is at the Marie Yeager Cancer Center
Art Play is a supportive service for children in Berrien County who are impacted by cancer. These workshops are at no cost to children whose have been touched by a family member’s cancer (parent, grandparent, sibling, classmate, or other significant person in their life) as well as for stable oncology pediatric patients.
Holly Garces, Art Therapist, is the lead artist for the Art Play Workshops that coincide with the Rainbows of Hope Cancer Support Group. This support group meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month March through November 2017 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. All who are impacted by cancer are encouraged to come. The adults can attend the Rainbows of Hope Cancer Support Group while the children are in the next room participating in an Art Play Workshop.

Cathy Tapia is the clay instructor for the Art Play Workshops at the Buchanan Art Center. This clay class meets from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of every month March through November 2017. (Except for October 16th, the 3rd Monday.) All children under the age of 7 need to be accompanied by an adult. Register early for this popular class.
