Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you, Volunteers!
During 2008, more than 200 individuals volunteered over 1,850 hours of their valuable time to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Without the help and dedication of these people, we would not be able to accomplish all that we do.
If you would like to join our Volunteer Circle of Friends, please contact us via phone at 429-3281 or e-mail us at staff@bccancerservice.org.
Monthly:
Volunteers help assemble our monthly newsletter. Current mailing list is over 4,600.
On Call:
Berrien County Cancer Service has a booth at various health fairs throughout our community during the year. For some of these events we have ample advanced notice, others we have little notice. Volunteers work shifts and greet the public to make them aware of the services available from Berrien County Cancer Service and hand out agency and cancer brochures.
Drivers are needed for the occasional delivery and pick up of medical equipment as well as delivering donated food baskets at Thanksgiving and Easter.
